การปฎิบัติหน้าที่ของทนายความผู้ทำคำรับรองลายมือชื่อและเอกสารตามแนวทางสภาทนายความ มีดังนี้ ทนายความผู้ทำคำรับรองต้องไม่เลือกปฎิบัติ ปฎิบัติหน้าที่ได้เพียงในฐานะพยานรู้เห็นข้อเท็จจริงเท่านั้น การรับรองลายมือชื่อต้องให้ผู้ลงลายมือ ชื่อมาแสดงตัวต่อหน้า และต้องตรวจสอบเอกสารเพื่อยืนยันตัวบุคคล ทนายความผู้ทำคำรับรองต้องให้ความสำคัญแก่ข้อเท็จจริงและเอกสาร ที่ตรวจสอบยิ่งกว่าวิญญูชนทั่วไป และต้องไม่เปิดเผยข้อมูล หรือความลับที่ตนได้รับมาเนื่องจากการปฎิบัติหน้าที่ในฐานะผู้ทำคำรับรอง     ดังนั้น การรับรองลายมือชื่อ หรือรับรองเอกสาร หรือจัดทำเอกสารคำรับรองเพื่อนำเอกสารหรือสำเนาเอกสารเหล่านั้นไปใช้ จึงต้องทราบวัตถุประสงค์ ประโยชน์ และหน้าที่ของNotary Public หรือ Notarial Services Attorney จึงจะได้ประโยชน์ ตามความต้องการของผู้รับการรับรอง เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามกฎหมาย ของแต่ละประเทศ from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A notary public (or notary or public notary) is a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business.
